Register Now ACTION ALERT: Civil Rights Amendment Would Require Employers to Cover Abortion as an Employee Benefit Senate Bill 147 threatens to require Michigan employers (with 15 employees or more) to offer coverage for abortions if benefits are offered for pregnancy or childbirth. No business owner or religious organization with employees should be forced to pay for abortions against their protected religious conscience. If passed, this bill may have the repercussion of forcing religious organizations across the state to stop offering benefits altogether in order to avoid conflicting with the Civil Rights Act. It is unconstitutional and CTV opposes this legislation. We hope you can take a moment to let your legislator know your opposition! Find My Representative ACTION ALERT: New Civil Rights Rule to Add "Sexual Orientation" and "Gender Identity" Federally A proposed rule change (see Subpart A) for employees of the executive branch threatens to expand civil rights to "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" without any protections for religious organizations or churches. This affects Title IX much like the law that was recently passed in Michigan to the same effect. CTV opposes this rule change and we need your help! ACTION NEEDED: The Office of Government Ethics is taking public comment on this until Monday, 4/24. They are required to read all your comments, buying time for legislators and other officials to work against this rule change. Leave a Comment U.S. House Passes Bill Protecting Women's Sports A bill designed to protect women's sports has passed the House. It prevents biological men from competing against biological women. Men would still be allowed to compete against other men. Unfortunately, the bill is expected to be vetoed by President Biden even if it makes it past the Senate. But this is an important message to America that women's sports aren't going down without a fight. CTV supports this legislation and believes in fair competition for women's sports.
