I appreciate you taking action this week as we crossed the 100-day mark of the 118th Congress – I’m lucky to have supporters like you on my team, friend.
With Earth Day coming up this weekend, I’m reflecting on a piece of the Pennsylvania Constitution that I hold particularly dear as a former State Rep – Article 1, Section 27 – which gives all Pennsylvanians “a right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic, and esthetic values of the environment.”
As a grandmother, I want my grandchildren to enjoy all the beauty our planet has to offer.
As a legislator, I know that means we must take robust action now to mitigate the harm being done to our environment.
Under President Biden’s leadership, Democrats did just that – taking monumental action last Congress to protect and preserve our air, water, and environment. But as we all know, friend, there’s more work to be done.
On the other hand, my colleagues across the aisle appear dead set on undoing the climate and environmental measures included in last year’s Inflation Reduction Act. In fact, they recently put forward an energy bill that would exploit our natural resources and directly harm our environment.
Unacceptable, but not surprising.
Team, to continue the important work of protecting our planet, we need to take back the House in 2024. If you’re able to stand with me in this work by contributing to my campaign, I would be most grateful.
As always, I thank you for being on my team.
