“New data in Independent Sector’s just-released Health of the U.S. Nonprofit Sector: A Quarterly Review shows the nation’s 1.8 million nonprofits contributed $1.5 trillion to the economy in the fourth quarter of 2022. The number of donors, however, declined 7% in the fourth quarter of 2022 and is visible across all sizes of donations—a downward trend that demonstrates the need to reinstate charitable giving incentives for all taxpayers through the Charitable Act.” [more] ([link removed])
