Performance review and comments: CDBG Coronavirus funding
During the May 16 public hearing, Commerce will also review and receive comments on our performance using $15.4 million in CDBG Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funds for the Hunger Relief Staffing and Services and Prevent-Prepare-Respond programs. These funds were provided by HUD with the goal to prepare, prevent and respond to Coronavirus.
- The Hunger Relief Staffing and Services Program provided funding for food banks to hire staff so they could respond to increased demand and safety protocols caused by the pandemic.
- The Prevent-Prepare-Respond Program funded a variety of public services and construction activities carried out by non-profit organizations in response to the pandemic.
