2023 Stormwater Management Program Plan Draft Open for Public Comment on April 24

Skagit County?s draft 2023 Stormwater Management Program Plan [ [link removed] ] will be open for public comment from April 24th, 2023, to May 12th, 2023.

The Stormwater Management Program Plan, which is updated annually, informs the public on what the County?s Stormwater Management Program has planned for the current calendar year. The public comment period gives members of the public an opportunity to provide feedback on current and future actions being taken by the County?s stormwater program. The draft plan can be found online on the Stormwater Management Program webpage here:?www.skagitcounty.net/Departments/PublicWorksSurfaceWaterManagement/whatwedo.htm [ [link removed] ].?

?2023 highlights include implementation of the Skagit County Regional Source Control Program and completion of a Stormwater Management Action Plan,? said Jason Quigley, Skagit County? Stormwater Program Permit Coordinator.

Actions outlined within the plan keep Skagit County in compliance with the Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit, issued to the County by the Washington State Department of Ecology. The final version of the 2023 Stormwater Management Program Plan will be posted on the Stormwater Management Program webpage after the public comment period has closed.
