Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating

We hope you have a wonderful day and weekend with your loved ones.

Eid al-Fitr is the festival of breaking fast and comes after a month of fasting for the holy month of Ramadan.

While a rewarding experience, we know this can also be challenging and so we hope those of you celebrating have a great time with your family and friends.

Celebrities Vs Legends - have you got your tickets?

On Sunday 7 May, Boundary Park will host a special charity match between footballing legends and celebrities to remember the victims of the Manchester Arena attack.

All the money raised from the ‘Manchester Remembers’ game will support five charities set up in the aftermath of the 2017 attack.

The celebrities’ team will feature Calum Best, Jason Manford, Wes Brown, Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas, Jay Kontzie, and Joe-Warren Plant from Emmerdale, MasterChef winner Simon Wood, and Love Island’s Dom Lever.

All the money raised will be donated to the following charities, some of which were set up by the families who lost loved ones in the arena attack in 2017: Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, Liv’s Trust, The Megan Hurley Foundation, The Remembering Nell Foundation, and Eilidh's Trust.

There will also be live music from Happy Mondays star Rowetta, the Courtbetweeners, and Hunter & The Wolves, with more names to be confirmed.

The event will be held on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 7 with a 3pm kick-off. Tickets are just £10 for adults and £5 for those under 18, with more information available via the Manchester Remembers Facebook page. ([link removed])
