My bill is pretty simple–it gives the U.S. President legal authority to use military force against drug cartels in Mexico. This does not mean invading or going to war with Mexico, as critics will lead you to believe. It can take many forms, including non-kinetic action like intelligence collection and sharing. An AUMF is also the minimum authority needed to operate by, with, and through the Mexican military (as we’ve done with other allies battling internal insurgencies). We’re focused squarely on one mission: taking down the cartels that are killing Americans with fentanyl. And working with Mexico would be a key part of that. President Trump understands the threat from the drug cartels who have operational control of our southern border and kill tens of thousands of Americans every year, which is why he supports my legislation. An AUMF is the most effective way to solve the deadly fentanyl crisis plaguing our nation because it sends a clear message to the cartels: eliminate fentanyl or we are coming for you. The momentum behind my proposal is building, especially with President Trump’s support. But I need your help to keep that momentum going so we can get this bill across the finish line and finally take action against the cartels. WE NEED ANSWERS FROM THE CDC CLICK HERE OR ON THE IMAGE ABOVE TO READ MORE The draconian COVID policies handed down from unelected bureaucrats in Washington, DC had serious consequences for the American people. From lockdowns that destroyed small businesses and kept children out of school to nonsensical mask and vaccine mandates, these policies were not about “the science.” They were about power. That’s why I introduced legislation this week with Senator Rubio called The Restore Public Health Institution Trust Act, which will open an investigation into the CDC’s messaging on unscientific mask and vaccine mandates. The CDC has yet to justify these decisions with clinical data and repeatedly claimed that COVID has caused widespread pediatric deaths, which was used as a cudgel to push COVID policies on our children. The CDC is now facing questions about how they collected this data. But instead of answering these concerns, the CDC is doubling down even after credible publications like the British Journal of Medicine called out the flawed method CDC used for tracking COVID deaths. The CDC Data Tracker is based on the surveillance data, which meant that any hospital patient with a positive COVID result would create a case report—even a patient who died of head trauma, for example. The Data Tracker, when compared to the CDC’s death certificate data, is overstating pediatric deaths by over 40%. For school-aged children (in the 5–11-year-old age group), the difference in overreporting for COVID deaths is even worse – 90%. That’s unacceptable. This flawed data was used to justify a ludicrous recommendation that children wear masks in our schools, which did untold harm to our children’s social development and psyche. The CDC is betting that the American people will simply forget about their unscientific mandates, but I promise you we won’t. We need the actual clinical evidence that justified these decisions, and I won’t stop until the CDC gives us answers. This bill requires the CDC to provide those answers to the American people. MEMBERS OF CONGRESS SHOULD NOT BE USING A CHINESE SPYWARE APP CLICK HERE OR ON THE IMAGE ABOVE TO WATCH As we exposed during a recent Energy and Commerce Committee hearing, TikTok is a serious security threat for any American that uses the Chinese spyware app. TikTok is a subsidiary of the Chinese company ByteDance. Under Chinese law, every single Chinese company must comply with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in surveillance activity if they are called upon and must keep that cooperation a secret. That means that the CCP has direct influence over TikTok and has control over the data of all users of the app, which included millions of Americans and even, shockingly, Members of Congress. Yes, Democrat Members of Congress continue to use the Chinese spyware app in their official capacity. Either Democrats are completely oblivious or they’re purposely ignoring what they already know about the threat posed by TikTok. Members are using this CCP-controlled app in their official capacity, in their offices, in the Capitol, using official resources. They’re welcoming China to access their data, and worse, they’re encouraging their constituents to put themselves at risk. That’s why I led a letter with Senator Tillis urging the Senate Rules Committee and the Committee on House Administration to stop lawmakers from using this app in their official capacity. If Members of Congress won’t heed the warnings about the security risks of using TikTok, then we need to take decisive action to prevent them from using it and continuing to promote this dangerous app to the American people.
