John,

Earth Day is tomorrow! And investing in our planet for Earth Day means investing in a livable future for all. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) most recent 2023 report says we must swiftly transition from polluting fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy to protect our planet from the scariest impacts of climate change.

Make a gift to fight fossil fuel polluters this Earth Day and have it MATCHED $3-to-$1!

The IPCC report emphasizes that the emissions from planned and existing fossil fuel projects can easily cause us to pass the critical warming threshold and cause massive damage to our planet. Shutting down fossil fuel projects is the only viable path forward, which is why we are committed to ensuring this happens.

And despite the deep pockets of corporate polluters, we are winning and shutting fossil fuel projects down! Food & Water Watch has effectively halted dozens of planned fossil fuel projects in the last five years, including pipelines, compressor stations, and fracking sites. And we’re on the ground across the country from New Jersey to California, Florida to Pennsylvania, working to stop many more.

We don’t need more drilling projects, half measures, or industry scams. We need our decision-makers to invest in wind and solar projects, protections for frontline communities, and bold climate policy that cuts emissions at the source.

Together, we’re ensuring that we invest in our planet and invest in a livable future for all!

Onward together,
