Defunding the police is dangerous. For too long, anti-law enforcement progressives have been allowed to undermine confidence in our local police.

Rafael Mangual, a best-selling author, will be in Jackson to explain why law enforcement needs our full support.

Mangual's research shows that it is often poor, vulnerable people who pay the price for the elite's anti-police position.

He will be joined by State Auditor Shad White. White has been a strong component of combatting crime in our capital city and has highlighted some of the key issues that lead to the ongoing high homicide rate in Jackson, such as the epidemic of fatherlessness in the state.
