[link removed] [[link removed]] John,

CREW has had a whirlwind month taking on Clarence Thomas’s serious ethics scandals, pushing for overdue anti-corruption reforms, and investigating White Houses past and present. And the month’s not even over yet, John.

- ProPublica’s groundbreaking stories featured commentary [[link removed]] from CREW’s Chief Ethics Counsel Virginia Canter about Supreme Court Justice Thomas’s undisclosed luxury trips and tight relationship with Harlan Crow.

- When the news broke that he also failed to disclose his sale of property to Crow, we filed a civil and criminal complaint [[link removed]] to the Department of Justice and Chief Justice John Roberts urging criminal and civil investigations.

- CREW President Noah Bookbinder was on MSNBC’s All in with Chris Hayes [[link removed]] and CNN to explain the weight of Thomas’s violations and what the revelation could mean. Canter also joined NPR’s Morning Edition [[link removed]] to discuss the need for higher ethical standards for Supreme Court justices.

- In other ethics reform news, Noah spoke [[link removed]] about the importance of banning congressional stock trading at the press conference introducing the ETHICS Act, along with Senators Merkley, Fetterman, Heinrich and others. The ETHICS Act would finally ban members of Congress from trading stocks, ensuring their stock portfolios don't come before the American people.

- CREW continues to sound the alarm about George Santos’s campaign finances, as seen in their latest story about whether Santos was lying about his funding during the campaign, or if he’s lying about it now. [[link removed]]

- Our fight to disqualify Donald Trump from the ballot for inciting an insurrection was just covered in the Washington Post [[link removed]] .

- We reviewed the Biden administration’s compliance with ethics rules [[link removed]] , finding that broadly, officials are meeting if not exceeding their obligations, which stands in stark contrast to the Trump administration.

- Our newest analysis explains how Trump lied again [[link removed]] when he claimed that the FEC "dropped" an investigation at the center of his recent indictment in New York “because they found no evidence of problems.”

- We also broke the news that Trump made up to $160 million from foreign countries as president [[link removed]] , and that the Secret Service spent more than $16,000 on Kushner’s UAE and Qatar trip [[link removed]] in early 2021, after which both countries invested in Kushner’s firm.

From Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to former president Donald Trump and his inner circle, CREW knows how to take on powerful figures who use their political status for personal gain, and we know what reforms are needed to restore public trust.

It’s a tough fight, but we’re doing our part to fight corruption at the highest levels of our government. If you believe in our work, consider making a donation directly to these efforts today.

We hope you’ll consider donating to support CREW’s efforts to bolster ethics, transparency, and accountability in our government, because we’re not planning to stop anytime soon: [[link removed]]
