John,
For years, gerrymandering has been used as an anti-democratic tactic to win unearned power. And Republican operatives have no plans to stop using and abusing it.
The good news is that maps across the country are the fairest they've been in decades because of our work. Ahead of the 2022 elections, the New York Times called the congressional map the fairest in 40 years. As a result, more voters like you were able to cast their ballots in fair districts than the previous decade.

The bad news is that a new wave of anti-democratic tactics has already begun. Republicans in North Carolina want the state's highest court to reverse a decision, made just weeks before the request, that ruled in favor of fair maps. This political act is cynical. Neither the case nor the law have changed in those weeks -- only the justices that makeup the North Carolina Supreme Court have changed.
But there's good news. We can and we are fighting back against cynical, partisan tactics like these. All On The Line continues our fight to end gerrymandering, and there is still time to get involved. We need supporters like you to help us keep up the fight for fairness and voter protection.
Together, we have overcome a lot. We overcame four of the darkest years in our nation's history. We overcame relentless efforts to manipulate our election maps. And together in this pivotal moment, we can overcome the current threats to our democracy.
