EMERGENCY ALERT

 

The new Emergency Alerts system will be tested on April 23rd at 3pm. This means that your mobile phone will receive an alert and make a siren like sound, even if it is on silent.

If you’re driving, do not pick up your phone. Keep driving safely, and if you need to check your phone, pull over when it’s safe to do so.

E-bikes are here!

Want a fun, sustainable way to travel across the city? Bike hire operator Lime has launched an electric bike (e-bike) rental scheme in Nottingham, in partnership with Nottingham City Council. Users can pick up and return Lime e-bikes from a network of designated e-bike-hire bays across the city.

Lime charges a fixed rate (£1.00) to unlock an e-bike and then 19p per minute to ride. Average journeys cost between £3.50 and £4.50.

If you would like to use the e-bikes for longer journeys, Lime offers the below ride passes:

  • 60 minute pass – £4.99
  • 120 minute pass – £9.99
  • 240 minute pass – £18.99

East Midlands Railways: engineering works coming up

  • Planned engineering works may mean changes to your usual journey. There are changes coming up to services to Derby, London and Sheffield. Check the day you plan to travel here 

Changes for passengers during Birmingham New Street platform work affecting travellers from Nottingham during April

Improvements to the roof of the station mean some changes to train times and services arriving and departing from different platforms than usual.

Passengers are being given advanced notice of the changes - particularly those travelling on CrossCountry services between the East and West Midlands.

People are advised to plan their journeys in advance by visiting www.nationalrail.co.uk.
