Anzac Day in Auckland
As Anzac Day approaches I wanted to let you know about the
upcoming services that will take place this Tuesday 25 April in honour
of the service personnel and their families who have given for New
Zealand.
Anzac Newsletter
Over the next few days my Anzac Day Newsletter will arrive in
letterboxes around Auckland suburbs from Grey Lynn to Point Chevalier
and Albert-Eden with a great Anzac Biscuit recipe by one of my
volunteers Joy, I hope you look forward to trying it out with your
families this Anzac Day!
Anzac Day Services in Mount Albert
Below you can find details about the ANZAC Day services happening
around Mt Albert and I'm looking forward to being there at several
ceremonies across our city, including the Dawn Service at Auckland
Domain's Court of Honour, to remember the many people who served for
New Zealand, the Commonwealth, and a better world:
Mt Albert Parade and Service
Parade assembly: 9am at the
Councillors Drive carpark next to the Mt Albert Bridge
Club. Parade
commences: 9.20am Service: 9.30am
at Mt Albert War Memorial Hall, 773 New North Rd Road
closure details: Intersection of New North Rd
and Councillors Ave to allow participant-only traffic from 9am to
12pm. Wairere Ave at the intersection with New North Rd to be
completely closed from 9am - 12pm. Wet weather
option: Inside the Mt Albert War Memorial
Hall Other details: Service to be
live-streamed and broadcast on Albert

Grey Lynn Returned Services Commemorative Anzac 2023 March and
Service
Parade assembly: 9am, corner of
Richmond Rd and Castle St Parade
commences: 9.30am. March along Richmond Rd and
turn left into Francis St to the front of Clubrooms where the service
will commence. Service: 9.45am
outside Clubrooms 1 Francis Street Grey Lynn immediately after
March. Road closure details: Richmond
Rd and Francis St will have a rolling road closure during the
march. Other details: Following the
service the Clubrooms will be open to the public.
Pt Chevalier Anzac Parade and Service
Parade assembly: 10am at corner
Alberta St and Pt Chevalier Rd Parade
commences: 10.15am. March to the club via Pt
Chevalier Rd and Great North
Rd Service: 11am Point Chevalier
Memorial RSA (Inc) 1136 Great North Rd, Point Chevalier
Mt. Eden ANZAC Day Service
Parade assembly: 10.40am, Dexter Ave
and Mt Eden Rd corner Parade
commences: 10.55am. Marching to the Mt Eden
Memorial Hall Service: 11am at Mt
Eden Memorial Hall (opposite Potters Park) Mt. Eden Rd Road
closure details: 10.50am - 11am (between Dexter
Rd corner and Mt Eden/Balmoral Rd intersection)
Coyle Park - The Last Post at Sunset
Details: A lone trumpeter will play
The Last Post as the sun sets on Anzac Day. Please gather by 5.30pm at
the western end of the park under the pine

Veterans are welcome to park in the underground carpark or any
mobility parking in the Domain. The Domain sports field will be open
for public parking. Controlled access to field parking is from
Football Rd from 4am.
Across the Auckland region there are over 70 different
services taking place from the Waikumete Veterans Cemetery to the
Naval Community at Devonport's Fleet Street.
