The EPA is currently weighing stronger tailpipe emissions standards from cars, SUVs, and heavy trucks. This is huge news, Friend — these emissions are the leading cause of climate change in the United States and cost tens of thousands of lives each year.
Here’s the problem: many of the largest corporations on the planet are against any improvements to the EPA’s emissions standards. They are pulling out all the stops, lobbying the Biden administration and Congress to maintain the status quo.
That’s why we need your help — environmentalists like you have a real chance to weigh in and convince the EPA to go big for the sake of our climate and our health. If we don’t speak out right now, corporate polluters will block any reform, kicking the can down the road once again.
Please take action right now. Tell the EPA to adopt stronger tailpipe emissions standards. It only takes a few seconds to add your name and bring us closer to our goal to deliver 8,000 letters supporting stronger protections.
This pollution harms everyone, especially communities living near highways, ports, freight hubs, and anywhere with lots of traffic. Low-wealth communities and communities of color are often hit hardest. By strengthening emissions standards, the EPA would protect us from tailpipe emissions while accelerating clean vehicle adoption and other clean energy investments.
The Biden administration can and must go further and faster to address the urgent public health and climate crises. To do that, the EPA must adopt standards that bring us to 100% clean vehicles sold by 2035.
This is a really important moment, Friend. We may never have a better opportunity to combat the leading cause of climate change in the U.S. while protecting vulnerable communities from harmful emissions.
That’s why we’re asking: take a moment to add your name. Join thousands of LCV supporters who are demanding the EPA adopt stronger tailpipe emissions standards. You’ll help tackle the climate crisis and bring us closer to our goal.
Thank you for everything you do, Friend. We’ll be in touch soon with more updates on our campaign.
Onward,
