Dear John,

When I was a kid, I, like most kids my age, had a dream. Not to be a movie star, or a doctor, but to stand up and represent my community as a public servant. I dreamt of building a career advocating for truth, justice, and human rights. And thanks to MPAC, I am now one step closer to seeing that dream come to fruition.

My name is Mohamad Almouazzen, and I’m a 2023 Congressional Leadership Development Program Fellow. I cannot convey to you how excited I am for this summer. Learning. Networking. And gaining the experience I need to build a career in public service. Yesterday, at a small event, I had the pleasure of speaking about MPAC’s efforts and the opportunities they work to create for young American Muslims like me, and I want to echo some of the thoughts that resonated with the attendees: CLDP is a program that means the world to me and others like me. And it wouldn't be possible without the support of people like you.

Ramadan is the month in which the holy Quran was first revealed with one simple word: Read. The faith of my community is rooted in the acquisition of knowledge and the power of words written or spoken. As this holy month draws to a close, MPAC will continue to work with that idea with its youth at the forefront to ensure that age-old American promise of We the People of the United States, means my people, too.

As one final plea on behalf of MPAC, I ask that you donate now to sponsor students just like me, and do your part in planting seeds of change for the next generation of American Muslims.
