Renew your support today

----------

John, now that it’s time to renew your 2023 annual support, we want you to know all the vital work your support is making possible at this critically important time. You can be sure the Feminist Majority Foundation is fighting back.

The Supreme Court’s reactionary decision to overturn Roe v. Wade reversed 50 years of precedents, destroyed the federal right to abortion, and emboldened anti-abortion extremists.

Since 1989, FMF’s National Clinic Access Project [[link removed]] has been helping targeted abortion clinics while also training legal observers and escorts and supporting independent clinics. The reversal of Roe has helped to create a state of emergency for far too many clinics. Our National Clinic Access Project is critically needed to help besieged clinics.

The Supreme Court’s decision not only reversed Roe but it also undermined the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, which has been used to fight sex discrimination. The Equal Rights Amendment is needed now more than ever. FMF is working to ensure that the ERA is certified and recognized as the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. [[link removed]]

And, of course, as we fight for gender equality in the U.S., we cannot be silent as Afghan women are being stripped of their rights. Since the Taliban takeover in 2021, courageous Afghan women have been marching and fighting for their freedom and equality across their country. We must urge the U.S. and the UN to never recognize the Taliban regime as a legitimate government.

We Cannot Be Silent – Renew Your Support [[link removed]]

FMF’s campaign for Afghan women and Girls first began in 1997 and worked to call global attention to the gender apartheid of the first Taliban regime and its horrific violations of women’s rights. We are currently helping more than 150 young Afghan women attend college in the U.S. and have helped activists and Afghan leaders leave Afghanistan because their lives were endangered. We must continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with these brave women and do all we can to amplify their voices.

We cannot be silent. [[link removed]]

We’re also working to empower the next generation of women with a major college program called Feminist Campus, encouraging young feminists to vote and to lead, as well as a High School program called Girls Learn International.

Plus, FMF is entering its 21st year of publishing Ms. Magazine [[link removed]] , reaching millions of people worldwide through the magazine and its vast array of digital products. This includes Ms. Studios, which is home to an array of media programming and popular podcasts, such as On the Issues with Michele Goodwin.

We need you to renew your support [[link removed]] so that we can continue our vital work. In good times and in bad, we are determined to move forward for equality. Together, we are making a difference.
