We have our first opponent in this race. A Republican challenger has officially filed papers to run against Mike in CA-49.

We'll be sharing more about this new opponent very soon, but here’s what is important to understand right now: National Republicans and their special interest allies have been working *aggressively* to flip this seat.

We’re not shocked to see Republicans feel emboldened to jump in so early, and we expect this will be the first of many.
