The Inquirer just published a so-called “profile” of the race, but only talked about OnlyFans. You are receiving this email as one of Alexandra’s most engaged followers. If you no longer wish to receive emails or updates, please click the “unsubscribe” link below. Dear John, I need your help. The Philadelphia Inquirer has consistently neglected the Controller’s race, and its first profile in months just focused on my OnlyFans instead of the comprehensive platform, my Sheriff’s theft press conference, or any policy we’ve been discussing. Watch my response ››› We can’t rely on traditional media to get our message out because they keep using the same tired misogynistic language to justify their discriminatory bias: someone like me doesn’t deserve to run for political office, someone like me doesn’t deserve ink spent on her platform priorities. We are less than a month from Election Day. I need your help getting our message out from behind this media wall. Donate now I have the only robust policy platform in this race. Yet, publications like the Inquirer whole-scale ignore it. It’s easier to ignore my lived experiences, master’s degrees, policy positions, and the solutions I’m offering to the people of Philadelphia — far easier to call me a “former stripper” in print. The issues I am talking about are just too important to accept this from the media. Billions of dollars of generational wealth stolen over decades by a corrupt Sheriff’s Office. A public bank that reinvests in communities and small businesses. A well-being economy rooted in evidence-based public health approaches to violence and harm reduction. Fully-funded public schools. Fully accountable law enforcement because I simply refuse police union and special interest dollars. I need voters to know what our movement is fighting for — that’s why I’m asking for your help now. Because if voters don’t even hear about how the Controller’s Office can change people’s lives for the better, then things will never change. But when we share our voice — we are louder than any media bullhorn. Let’s show them the strength of our unity. Donate now to shatter the media wall In solidarity, Alexandra Hunt, MS, MPH, ACRP-CP Democrat for Philly City Controller     Alexandra Hunt is a public health researcher, a girls’ soccer coach, an advocate for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice, and a community organizer. She's the daughter of two teachers and a sister to a twin brother with a learning disability. Seeing the systemic obstacles her brother faced inspired Alexandra to become an advocate and challenge barriers on the basis of race, gender, class, and ability. Now, Alexandra's running to be the Philly's next City Controller because the people in Philly work too hard for too little. And right now, line items in budgets create lines for food and health care. It's time to elect a City Controller who is going to prioritize the needs of the communities Philly's money comes from.
