My team wrote to you yesterday about the GOP candidate who just jumped into our race, but I wanted to reach out personally today to tell you why it’s so important that we take this seriously.
If you’re already with me, will you chip in what you can to help us fight back and ensure we're ready for whatever attacks our GOP opponent and any dark money super PACs throw at us?
Since I announced my campaign in 2021, the attacks from the GOP have not stopped even for a moment. They spent millions against me in the last election, but we showed them that a multi-generational, multi-racial movement can bring down even the wealthiest, most extreme super PACs.
Our GOP opponent thinks he can win votes by calling me "extreme" and a member of the Squad. But we know who is really extreme.
It is those who are sitting idly while our nation slips down the road of fascism, wealth inequality, racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, homophobia and transphobia, and a fear of anyone different.
Believing in Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, union rights, or campaign finance reform is not extreme — it's the bare minimum to deliver for the everyday people of this country. No matter where you come from or how you vote, we have to decide whether we will give in to the far-right's fear-mongering or chart a new path that is centered in community.
Last election, we overcame millions in attack ads and defied every single odd because the People of Western Pennsylvania decided to stand up and fight for each other. Together, we proved that the power of the People is greater than the people in power. Let's do it again.
