Last night, Tammy was on Chris Hayes talking about reproductive freedom and the GOP’s attempt to take away that freedom from Veterans like her who have protected and served this country.

These are Republicans who are alright with Veterans making the choice to use their bodies as they see fit when they sign up to fight wars on this country’s behalf, but somehow think they are also unfit to make choices about their own bodies when it comes to reproductive freedom.

Republicans want women in the military to give up their own rights to bodily autonomy as another sacrifice for serving this country, but Tammy is not going to allow that to happen.

Yesterday, she helped lead the successful push to defeat Republicans’ efforts to remove this critical healthcare access for Veterans. And to help make sure their rights are never threatened again, she introduced the EACH Act to codify abortion care coverage for every person who receives healthcare through the federal government—including Veterans.

Everyone deserves the peace of mind that comes with knowing they can access the care that is basic and fundamental to their wellbeing, including abortion.
