With Earth Day just around the corner (this Saturday!), I’m taking the work to elect Democrats seriously because when we hold power we take proactive strides to protect our environment and develop clean energy sources.

Such as the Bi-partisan Infrastructure Law , where we secured $91.9 million for clean water projects — just for Pennsylvania . This funding will protect the health of children and families for generations, and create good-paying jobs in the Commonwealth.

On the other side of the aisle, the GOP is pushing an energy bill that invests more deeply in fossil fuels further polluting our air and waterways, and at the same time would gut protections for the public lands we all enjoy. And if that wasn’t enough — working families would be hit with more expensive utility bills, while oil and energy executives line their pockets.

Climate change is a serious threat that deserves a serious response. Earth Day is our annual reminder that we only have one planet, and it is our responsibility to protect it.
