Last week, President Biden announced his plan to expand health coverage for DACA recipients or Dreamers – the thousands of young people brought to the U.S. as children.

For millions of Dreamers, the United States is the only home they've ever known.

And they have made this country a better place every single day they've lived here.

I applaud President Biden for taking this necessary and long-overdue step. But this is only the beginning of a pathway to citizenship for the thousands of Dreamers in our state and across the country.

Amidst hostile Republican rhetoric towards immigrants, I will never stop fighting for access to healthcare and a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.
