Our National Parks have so much to offer, and Congress has the duty to oversee them.
I LOVE our National Parks, and this year’s National Park Week kicks off on April 22nd. To celebrate, entrance fees to National Parks are being waived this Saturday, 4/22.
My family enjoys exploring parks in every part of the country, from nearby Joshua Tree here in California to White Sands in New Mexico.
Our government has the duty to oversee our National Parks, so our recent family trips have been mixed with some policy conversations. In Congress. I’ve pushed leaders to make our parks more accessible to people with disabilities, and lead the fight to fully fund the Every Kid Outdoors program, which grants fourth graders and their families free access to National Parks.
Our National Parks provide so many benefits—from supporting local economies, to providing affordable family vacations, to preserving our environment.
