As promised, this is your handy mid-week #NVleg update! Please note that agendas and bills on the agendas are rapidly changing, so some of these dates, times, and details may shift. 

Note that a big deadline is coming up on April 25th, where all bills that have been voted out of committee must now be approved by the full Assembly or Senate (depending on from which house the bill originated). 

Here's what we're watching on Monday's Senate and Assembly Floor Sessions:

Monday 4/17

11:00 AM - SENATE FLOOR

General File:

S.B. 133—penalizes submitting fake elector documents in a Presidential election. SUPPORT

S.B. 171—prohibits those convicted of a misdemeanor hate crime from buying or possessing a firearm for 10 years post-conviction. SUPPORT

S.B. 296—limits police interactions for low-level traffic stops. SUPPORT

S.B. 302—protects Nevada providers and patients who perform or receive gender-affirming care from being prosecuted by laws in other states. SUPPORT

S.B. 315—prescribes certain rights to disabled persons who receive home or community-based care. SUPPORT

S.B. 352—expands required insurance coverage for contraception. SUPPORT

S.B. 371—allows county and city governments to enact their own affordable housing measures. SUPPORT

A.B. 267—Requires that medical and dependent care facilities conduct cultural competency trainings. SUPPORT
