Help us defend the history and legacy of the Republican party
<[link removed]>
John,
A meeting at the Little White Schoolhouse held on March 20, 1854, to protest
the westward expansion of slavery, eventually led to the formation of the
Republican Party.
This schoolhouse, the birthplace of the Republican party, is an icon we are
proud to have as a part of history here in our state.
But earlier this week the Little White Schoolhouse was moved to a new location
that no longer qualifies it for national historic monument status.

This has caused an uproar as many are disappointed and frustrated with some
saying this move is an attempt to “erase the history” of the Republican party’s
anti-slavery roots.
We need to FIGHT BACK to defend our history and protect the legacy of freedom
that our party has stood for since its founding in Ripon.
That’s why we need your help to keep this historic monument a part of
Wisconsin and Republican history alive.
Please add your name to our Save the Schoolhouse petition to help us keep
Republican history alive.
