After passing H.R. 1 last month (or as we call it, the “Polluters Over People Act”), the GOP is trying to use whatever leverage they can to dismantle critical clean energy policies that will save our planet from the climate crisis. Now, they’re scheming up ways to add “poison pills” to their debt ceiling bill that fully repeal historic climate legislation SEEC members supported last Congress.
Here’s the bottom line, John: Speaker McCarthy not only wants to tank our economy. He’s willing to take the climate down with it. All just to appease his Big Polluter donors.
