Hi John,

My name is Graeme McGufficke and I am excited to introduce myself to you as the Executive Director of American Muckrakers PAC.

Over the past year and a half I have served the PAC as Senior Advisor, helping to navigate our course that led to Madison Cawthorn’s demise and almost upended Lauren Boebert’s political career. Taking the reins as we continue to chip away at Bobo’s legitimacy – including our lawsuit against the congresswoman – will be challenging, but oh so rewarding when we win the suit and she loses her re-election campaign.

My time as a political operative began back in 2008 when I started knocking doors for then Senator Obama in Asheville, North Carolina. I continued my volunteer activities until the 2016 election cycle when I quit my job as a financial representative and became a county organizer for the North Carolina Coordinated Campaign.

That led me to get trained in campaign management, and in 2018 I worked with the Phillip Price congressional campaign – against Mark Meadows – as a jack of all trades – field director, finance director, yard sign planter, etc. During the 2020 election cycle I was lucky enough to work with Moe Davis as his campaign manager for his run for Congress against Madison Cawthorn.

I took Moe's defeat by Cawthorn personally, so when David Wheeler asked me to come aboard the American Muckrakers PAC – known more commonly then as FireMadison.com – I was all in, and eagerly set about plotting the downfall of young Maddie C. (I first met Madison Cawthorn when he was about 8 years old, as his father and I worked for the same investment firm in Western North Carolina). Before his car crash I knew him as an arrogant teenager who mistreated women. The car crash didn’t change him much.

Madison’s defeat in his GOP primary – which was almost a year ago – was a huge win for our PAC, and the people of Western North Carolina. I promise to keep tabs on him going forward so that he never wins elected office again.

Pivoting to Lauren Boebert was a stroke of genius on the part of David Wheeler! We threw everything we could at her and her campaign, and came up just a little short - had the DCCC pitched in earlier, maybe we wouldn’t still be talking about her, and could be working on ousting other political fools.

Our lawsuit is critical to Lauren Boebert’s eventual defeat. Once the suit is filed it won’t be long before we are able to depose her, under oath, and the claims we have been making about her sordid past will be verified. This will narrow her pathway to re-election in 2024 and could be the decisive factor in her defeat.

I am confident that with the PAC’s help, and with the resources of Democrats and independents nationwide, 2024 will see Lauren Boebert wind up a footnote in congressional history.
