MAGA Republicans at all levels of government across the country continue to ramp up their attacks on our democracy in the wake of Donald Trump’s Big Lie.

In Tennessee, legislators voted to expel members who stood up for stricter gun laws after a school shooting rather than taking action on much-needed gun control. Meanwhile, in Texas, state senators voted to grant the secretary of state the power to control election administration and voter registration — a deliberate attempt to manipulate the outcome of elections.

Friend — let me be clear: It is imperative that Democrats take back the House and retain the Senate majority in 2024. The future of our democracy depends on it.

But if we’re going to be successful in the face of endless amounts of right-wing money being spent against us over the next two years, the work has to start right now.
