In 2019, the youth vaping epidemic peaked in Minnesota and across the country. JUUL began deceptively attracting young people who quickly became addicted to the dangerous nicotine in the e-cigarette devices.

Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our children, so I stepped in and filed a lawsuit against JUUL for using aggressive marketing in order to hook thousands of minors on e-cigarettes. 

After weeks of trial, I am happy to announce we reached a settlement with JUUL in the best interest of Minnesotans. 

When I was re-elected in November, I promised that I would always stand up to powerful special interests seeking to take advantage of us and our children. This outcome is yet another example of how I’m keeping that promise. Thank you for powering my work and making it possible.
