Democrats in Congress are, once again, playing politics with our nation’s
finances.



As negotiations over spending and the debt ceiling continue, Democrats are
digging in on raising the ceiling without addressing their legacy of
out-of-control spending.



Senate Democrats are urging their colleagues in the House to bypass
Congressional norms and force a “discharge petition," a rare and powerful tool
that pulls a bill out of committee for a floor vote, completely upending
standard procedure.

Thankfully, Republicans are holding firm.



Any plan to raise the debt ceiling must include spending cuts and a cap on
future spending for years to come.



Republicans want responsible, common-sense solutions, while Democrats demand
an unconditional tax-and-spend agenda. We are pushing to repeal Biden’s
ridiculous tax credits on electric vehicles and tighten federal welfare
requirements.



The difference couldn’t be more night and day.



John, while Congress has a responsibility to meet our financial obligations,
it also has a responsibility to the American people.
