Speak Up for Safe Drinking Water for All
Millions of people across the country are threatened by unsafe levels of lead in their drinking water. Exposure to lead is particularly toxic to children and developing fetuses, causing serious, irreversible damage to their brains and nervous systems. Lead is also linked to fertility issues, cardiovascular and kidney problems, cognitive dysfunction, and elevated blood pressure in otherwise healthy adults. And yet the EPA is trying to roll back the Lead and Copper Rule, putting communities across the country at risk. Demand that EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler strengthen—not weaken—critical protections against lead.
