Maybe you see your family in a new place, or yourself in a new job, or maybe you expect your life to remain pretty much the same.

A year from now, at Fair Fight, we see ourselves in full election mode, with all hands on deck to elect pro-democracy candidates up and down the ballot. We see volunteers working together to fight back against voter suppression attempts and reach voters with accurate and timely election information. And we see our entire team working hard alongside partners to defend free and fair elections in Georgia and across the country, in what will be another critical election year.

Now, come back to the present. It’s April 2023, and we’re laying the groundwork for the critical fights we’ll face between now and the next election cycle. Anti-voter extremists have continued their coordinated attack on our freedom to vote this year in states across the country, and we expect these attacks to continue between now and next year’s election. But we’re fighting back with the most powerful tools we have: education and mobilization.

The truth is this: The actions we take in April 2023 will directly impact how we can protect the freedom to vote in April 2024. And the scope of our fight against voter suppression depends on the strength of our grassroots team.
