ZIONIST ORGANIZATION OF AMERICA NEWS RELEASE   ZOA Campus Coordinator Lily Dillon: ZOA President Mort Klein Speaks to Columbia Students on Arab/Islamic War Against Israel   New York, NY — ZOA National President Morton A. Klein spoke at Columbia University Monday night to Columbia students in partnership with the David Network. The event was titled, "The Orwellian Lies Against Israel: Now Hear the Truth.” The talk outlined many of the propaganda anti-Israel lies and misinformation about Israel that students hear on college campuses and from the media across America today. Mort Klein discussed a range of relevant topics such as the history and truth about the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, Jerusalem, and the lies about occupation, Arab refugees, Apartheid, Palestinian statehood, corruption in the Palestinian Authority (PA), and its evil, Jew-hating leader Mahmoud Abbas. In his talk, Mort Klein spoke of the daily antisemitic incitement and promotion of the violence and murder directed by the Palestinian Authority president and its political and religious leaders, dispelling the many myths about the PA as a "moderate peace partner." Mort also spoke at length about the PA's Nazi-like policy of paying Arabs lifetime pensions to murder Jews, and naming schools, streets and sports teams and children’s camps after Jew-killers and honoring these murderers with posters and parades, glorifying them. Students, both Jewish and non-Jewish from Columbia University, Barnard College, and the Jewish Theological Seminary as well as two Columbia professors attended and were active in the lively discussion and Q&A after the event. There were a number of hostile-to-Israel questions and many thoughtful questions that Mort handled convincingly with facts and aplomb. It was troubling and eye-opening that many of the students never heard of and had trouble believing the Palestinian Authority’s heinous pay-to-slay policy; the fact that Palestinian polls show a clear majority of Palestinian Arabs support the recent murders of innocent Jews; the fact that there were thousands of Arab terrorist attacks against Jews in the past year; and the fact that Arabs name schools, streets and sports tournaments after Jew-killers. Many also had believed the propaganda falsehoods against Israel. The talk and Q&A lasted from 7 PM until after 9 PM. Mort stayed until there were no more questions. Thankfully, many of the students, Jewish and non-Jewish, did respond quite positively and expressed the fact that they heard truths about the Arab/Islamic war against Israel from Mort that other organizations, their leaders and even Israeli leaders apparently ignore.
