Dear John,
We don't have to tell you that the climate crisis is the biggest threat we face. But I want to explain how it's putting Maine’s wildlife, people, and economy at risk — and why your support today is more important than ever:
We are watching our world warm faster than we ever thought possible. Here in Maine, wildlife, like groundhogs and bats, are in jeopardy as they wake up from hibernation too early. Moose calves are dying from tick infestations at alarming rates as these parasites move further North. Snowshoe hare aren’t shifting from brown to white in the winter and this loss of camouflage is proving to be fatal.
We need your help to stop these changes in their tracks, and here's how we'll do it with your support.
We are going all in to support the Governor’s new goal to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2040 – ten years earlier than originally outlined in Maine’s Climate Action Plan. And we’re advocating for solutions that make home-grown affordable clean energy available to more Maine people and businesses.
But we can’t do it without you. Your support is key to making all of our climate advocacy possible. In fact, a caring member feels so strongly about MCV's impact that she will triple your gift—up to $10,000, as long as it is received by May 31st!
Can we count on your support right now to triple your impact for Maine's climate?
