The blessed month of Ramadan is coming to an end; however, its bounties and gifts are everlasting. Over the past weeks, we have repeatedly called on you to support our imperative work for Palestine in the U.S. Not only did you answer our call, but you made this month an unprecedented success.

It is true that Ramadan is concluding, but the Israeli occupation, injustice, killing, and destruction in Palestine still exist. And because hope is one of the meanings embodied in Ramadan, we will make this a motive to redouble our efforts to end the complicity of the U.S. with the apartheid state of Israel.

Support AMP on this final night of Ramadan

On these blessed nights, the Noble Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. “Read” was the first word to be revealed to him. It is an affirmation of the power of knowledge, truth, and accurate information vis-à-vis misinformation and disinformation. Nevertheless, this great word would not have changed the history of humanity had Muhammad (SAW) and his companions not proclaimed it, advocated for it, and sacrificed for it. This is the model we imitate in American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), and we are seeing the ripe fruits of it. Consecutive credible data show the dramatic shift in the public opinion domain in favor of Palestine. This is the result of the power of knowledge and the power of advocacy. Above all, we are seeing a gradual, although slow shift in U.S. policy on apartheid Israel.

We can deepen this shift, and we can expedite it. We need to believe in this and believe in our ability to make it happen. And we need to continue espousing the spirit of Ramadan and the last blessed nights of Ramadan that witnessed the birth of new and genuine hope that enlightened the world. Through this, God willing, we will be among those who bring freedom, justice, and liberation to Palestine and Masjid Al-Aqsa.
