I’m still in a state of disbelief with all these stories about Clarence Thomas’ corrupt relationship with GOP billionaire Harlan Crow.

Undisclosed gifts like superyachts, private resorts, even buying his mother’s house? The fact that the public had no knowledge a GOP activist is bankrolling a Supreme Court Justice for decades is absolutely unacceptable.

This is a big deal for one very clear reason: Clarence Thomas has written numerous decisions with vast impact on our lives and our democracy - all the while being secretly funded by a GOP billionaire activist.

And this all happened because the Supreme Court currently has no real code of ethics.

That’s why I support a new important bill: the Supreme Court Ethics Act. This bill will establish new rules of ethics for Supreme Court justices like Clarence Thomas, similar to the rules that are applied to me and every other member of Congress.

But I need your help to show my colleagues how much support this bill really has! So if you want to see more ethics and transparency on the Supreme Court, will you please add your name as a citizen co-sponsor of this new legislation today?

This isn’t just about one corrupt Supreme Court Justice. This is about safeguarding our democracy. I refuse to let dark money flow into our politics at any level - whether it’s Congress, the Presidency or the Supreme Court. It’s despicable and we cannot let it continue.
