It has been a concerning few weeks for reproductive rights:

First, two federal judges issued competing rulings on whether mifepristone, a safe and effective abortion pill, should be on the market. While the Biden administration immediately filed an emergency order, the Supreme Court’s temporary stay expires at 11:59 p.m. tonight.

Then, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an extreme bill that would ban abortion at six weeks. If the Florida Supreme Court allows the law to go into effect, Florida could join the 13 states that increased abortion restrictions after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Now, it has never been more urgent to protect abortion access at the federal level. Frank is an original co-sponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act to ensure that all women have the freedom to access safe, reproductive health care. It’s critical that this bill becomes law.
