Dear John,
As one of our most dedicated supporters, you know that this is an incredibly challenging time for so many in the performing arts and entertainment industry.
To be the safety net our community needs, we are launching our 2023 Safety Net for All Campaign with the goal of raising $200,000 by May 1. And our trusted friends at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS have generously offered a special matching gift of $200,000 to support this critical effort!
While venues from Broadway theaters to small-town jazz clubs have reopened, audience attendance is still lower than before the pandemic. And just as so many are struggling to recover after years of shuttered doors and darkened stages, inflation has hit—making it harder than ever for thousands of hardworking individuals who are without work to afford groceries or get essential medical care.
At the Entertainment Community Fund, we continue to see a high volume of requests from those in urgent need. That’s why our Safety Net for All Campaign is so important. The funds raised through this campaign will provide emergency financial assistance for rent, medical insurance and so many other vital needs.
So please, help us reach our $200,000 goal by May 1—your gift today will have twice the impact on helping more performing arts professionals in need!
Your generosity will show every member of our community that they can always turn to the Entertainment Community Fund for help—thank you!
With appreciation,
Joe Benincasa (he, him, his) President and CEO
If you have recently made a gift to the Entertainment Community Fund, and your gift hasn’t been processed in our system yet, thank you for your continued support.
