Nature & Beaver Walks at Clear Creek

Join us at an evening walk to learn about the ecosystem and beavers

Nature and Beaver Walk Event Dates in May [ [link removed] ]

Kitsap County's Stormwater Division [ [link removed] ] invites you to join us at the Clear Creek Trail to learn about stream restoration, native plants and beavers...their life cycle, habits, the benefits they provide and the challenges they create. Register online at kitsapbeaverwalkmay23.eventbrite.com [ [link removed] ]. Our free Beaver Walks are scheduled for two dates: Tuesday, May 9 at 7:45 pm OR Thursday, May 11 at 7:45 pm.

We will meet at the Silverdale Rotary Gateway Park/Dog Park [ [link removed] ] in the evening to maximize our chances of spotting a beaver. This event will be held rain or shine. Expect to walk approximately 1-2 miles. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate to the weather. Bring binoculars (or night vision goggles if you have them!), a flashlight, and a portable chair if desired.

* Please leave your four-legged friends at home so we don't scare the beavers.
* Space is limited and registration [ [link removed] ]is required.

Kitsap Water Festival Makes a Wet Return

The cold, wet spring weather didn't dampen the spirits of the students attending Kitsap Water Festival [ [link removed] ]this week. Water Festival is a day of celebration and learning about water.

Third and fourth graders from around Kitsap County attend water presentations, exhibits and a magic show. The festival celebrated its 25th year this year, returning for the first time since 2019.
