Dear Friend,

Religious freedom is meant to be a shield that protects people. But religious extremists are trying to turn it into a sword that can be used to harm others.

That’s why it’s critical that Congress passes the Do No Harm Act, which protects religious freedom and ensures it is not used as a license to discriminate.

The Do No Harm Act was reintroduced in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives today – urge your Members of Congress to support the bill now with our quick and simple form: [link removed]

The Do No Harm Act is a needed fix to stop religious extremists from exploiting the 30-year-old Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) to harm LGBTQ people, women, religious minorities, the nonreligious and others. The Do No Harm Act will preserve RFRA’s original intent of protecting religious freedom while clarifying that it cannot be misused to deny other people’s basic civil rights.

Today, Reps. Bobby Scott, Steve Cohen, Jamie Raskin and Mary Gay Scanlon and Sen. Cory Booker re-introduced the Do No Harm Act in both chambers of Congress. We need as many Members of Congress as possible to co-sponsor the bill so that we can build support and move the DNHA across the finish line.

Contact your U.S. Representative and Senators today! Using our simple tool, you can urge your Members of Congress to support the Do No Harm Act, or thank them if they already have signed on as a co-sponsor of the bill: [link removed]

Thanks for fighting for freedom without favor and equality without exception.
