Consumer Action teamed up with the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse (PRC) to create a new video about its new Data Breach Chronology Dashboard. The new tool is designed to help advocates, community organizations, policymakers and others better understand the data privacy landscape and the unique risks their communities face, make informed decisions about personal information, and guide policy to strengthen privacy protections.

As you will learn in the video, tracking data breaches is a complex task due to the lack of a unified federal standard, but understanding and addressing data breaches, knowing how to respond, and knowing when you’ve been impacted is essential to empower communities and protect personal information.
