This week, Congress will vote on a horrifying bill proposed by far-right Republicans: they want to allow K-12 schools and colleges to conduct genital checks of student athletes to prevent trans youth from playing on the sports teams they identify with.

Far-right extremists claim that their bill will protect our kids, but what they are proposing is an invasive, traumatic, and appalling practice harming and flat out bullying our nation’s youth.

Families have the right to know that when they send their kids to school, they won't be traumatized by these invasive examinations.

This is a clear attack on trans youth that will violate the privacy and basic rights of all students and their families. That’s why I vehemently oppose it and will vote NO.
