Earlier this month a Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas suspended the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s approval of the abortion pill Mifepristone nationwide.

We cannot allow far-right judges to turn back the clock on women's rights.

I've joined an amicus brief urging the U.S. Court of Appeals to block this disastrous ruling, but Congress can and must pass legislation to protect reproductive freedom.

That's why I'm co-sponsoring the Protecting Reproductive Freedom Act. This legislation reaffirms the FDA's authority to regulate abortion medication like Mifepristone while also protecting doctors who prescribe medication for abortion.
