National Conventions are some of my favourite Liberal events. Seeing thousands of Liberals gathered together in one place truly shows how the work that we’re doing touches the lives of Canadians from every part of Canada.

Over the years, I’ve attended conventions as a supporter, vice-president, and president of our party – and the discussions I’m able to have with people like you are where the big ideas that keep Canada moving forward come from.

This convention, you can look forward to policy discussions, innovative campaign training sessions, and keynote speakers such as the Right Honourable Jean Chrétien and Justin Trudeau, and so much more. And below, you’ll also find more information about the profiles of the Liberals running for positions on our National Board of Directors.

With only 16 days left until our next Liberal National Convention we’re counting down the days to having you join us in Ottawa.

The Senior Liberals’ Commission 20th Anniversary – May 4th

This can’t-miss event during Convention weekend is completely free to attend! A wine and cheese reception is planned to celebrate this important milestone.

Indigenous Peoples’ Commission Indigenous Electoral Endowment Fund Breakfast –  May 5th

The Indigenous Electoral Endowment Fund was created to encourage Indigenous communities to become more involved in the electoral process, and assists with recruiting more Indigenous candidates and helping them get elected.

Judy LaMarsh Cocktail Reception – May 5th – National Women’s Liberal Commission

The 2023 Judy LaMarsh Cocktail Reception, hosted by the National Women’s Liberal Commission is one of many exciting must-attend special events taking place during the Liberal National Convention. Financial support is still a huge barrier for many women considering a run for office – and the Judy LaMarsh Fund helps to offset those costs for Liberal women candidates.

Young Liberals of Canada and LPC(Q) Pub Night – May 5th

Taking place at Lowertown Brewery, this event is an excellent opportunity to network and engage with Liberals from across the country. A drink ticket, as well as access to various hors d’oeuvres will be included in the ticket price.
