That’s the top recommendation in the Future of Nursing 2020-2030 report—and creating that shared agenda is the purpose of a May 10 webinar that includes representatives from the National Coalition of Ethnic Minority Nurse Associations, Council of Public Health Nursing Organizations, and the National League for Nursing.

The Root Cause Coalition calls for nominations for its 2023 Health Justice Award, which honors organizations that have successfully implemented a program to reduce health—matching the coalition’s mission of collaborating across sectors to improve and achieve health equity. Winners will receive $25,000 and be recognized during the coalition’s December 3–5 national summit. Deadline: June 19.
The Aging and Disability Business Institute at USAging invites community-based organizations that are partnering with health care entities such as hospitals and health plans to apply for the John A. Hartford Foundation 2023 Business Innovation Award. The award is intended to draw national attention to innovative strategies from the aging and disability networks and inspire others to replicate those ideas. Deadline: May 5.
Licensed primary care clinicians including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians are invited to apply for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program, which will pay up to $50,000 of debt for those who serve in urban, rural, or tribal communities with limited access to care. Deadline for the Health Resources and Services Administration program: April 25.
Accredited schools of nursing, health care facilities including federally qualified health centers or nurse-managed health clinics, are invited to apply for the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention Pathway to Registered Nurse Program, designed to create a pathway from academic training to clinical practice. Deadline to apply for this Bureau of Health Workforce grant: April 27.
Since 2019, the de Beaumont Foundation has recognized leaders who are changing the face of public health in creative and innovative ways with its 40 Under 40 in Public Health list. That program is now open for nominations for those whose equity-focused entrepreneurial spirit have earned them a chance for the foundation’s two-year professional development program. Deadline: May 17.
The Camden Coalition invites all to spread word of their work in the field of complex care at the November 1-3 Putting Care at the Center 2023 conference. Lead a workshop, or present a poster or table at the Beehive, the place for emerging knowledge, experience, and strategy. Deadline remains June 15.
