Dear John,
Our hearts are heavy as we learned of the devastating mass shooting that occurred during a Sweet 16 party in downtown Dadeville, Alabama on Saturday night. This senseless act of violence claimed the lives of four teenagers and left at least 28 others injured–with several remaining in critical condition.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the families, friends, and the entire Dadeville community as they grapple with the aftermath of this horrifying event. This same weekend, Ralph Yarl was shot twice when he accidentally entered the wrong house while trying to pick up his siblings. A pregnant woman was shot in a Walgreens parking lot in Nashville, TN. Kaylin Gillis was shot to death for pulling into the wrong driveway in upstate NY.
