Monday marked 100 days of the House Republican majority. The GOP Conference has hit the ground running, fulfilling our Commitment to America to build an economy that’s strong, a nation that’s safe, a future built upon freedom, and a government that’s accountable to the American people.

In our first 100 days, House Republicans have reopened the People’s House, defended our nation’s energy security, protected the sanctity of life, defunded Joe Biden’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) army, countered the Chinese Communist Party's malign influence, and held the Biden Administration accountable for its weaponization of the federal government –  and we are just getting started!

Last Thursday, it was a pleasure to attend the opening of the Pike County VA Clinic in Zebulon. This outpatient facility – which offers primary care and specialty health services – will ensure veterans in our community receive timely and accessible care that meets their unique needs. Pike County VA Clinic Holds Ribbon Cutting

The Pike County VA Clinic held its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Veterans, elected officials, VA representative, members of veterans support organizations, members of the public, and members of the many organizations that worked together to make this clinic a reality gathered to celebrate a job well done and the opportunity to care for those who have put their lives on the line for our freedom.

The Pike County High School Band played the National Anthem while members of American Legion Pike Post 197 raised the flags in front of the facility.

The resounding theme of those who spoke on behalf of the VA was a goal of providing the best care and giving veterans the care that they deserve. Sacrifices that have been given by veterans were acknowledged and thanks for that sacrifice through care given at this and other VA facilities.

Congressman Drew Ferguson told how we cherish our freedoms here in this country and that we are eternally grateful to those who defend our freedoms. He gave a shout out to the local community for helping making this project a reality and thanked our veterans for the sacrifice that has been made by them and their families.

Ferguson addresses VR Leadership Luncheon

Villa Rica hosted their second speaker, Congressman Drew Ferguson, Representative of Georgia’s Third District in the Leadership Luncheon series on Wednesday. 

Ferguson is a native of West Point, Georgia, and studied at the University of Georgia graduating with a degree in dental medicine. Upon graduating, Ferguson moved back to West Point to open his own dental practice.

In 2008, Ferguson was elected as the mayor of West Point and served in that position prior to being elected to the House of Representative in 2017.
