Extremists have attacked medication abortion in an attempt to restrict abortion nationwide. GOP-controlled states from Florida to Idaho have already succeeded in instituting total or near-total bans. Next on their agenda is North Carolina.

NC Republicans proposed restrictions on reproductive health care that are radical and completely incompatible with what the majority of North Carolinians believe: that abortion is a choice that must be left to a woman and her doctor.

They want to strip women of their most personal, fundamental freedom to decide their reproductive futures.

I have always stood up for women’s right to make their own reproductive health care decisions, and as your next governor, I will veto any attacks on reproductive freedom.
