Hi John,
With over 200 o ([link removed]) rganisations ([link removed]) signed up to support, The Big One is shaping up to be one of the UK’s largest climate protests in recent years. As we stand on the precipice of one of the most significant turning points in human history, seeing such strength and connectedness across the climate movement is truly a reason to be hopeful.

When: 21-24 April 2023
Where: Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London

The programme is here!
------------------------------------------------------------

As promised, Global Justice Now is hosting a schedule of events within The Big One. From workshops to walking tours, comedy to croissants, you can check out the full programme now:

You can also pick up a paper copy from our stall at the weekend, which will be located at the Northern end of Abingdon Street, just where it meets Parliament Square, on the pavement right outside Parliament (see image below). Unless otherwise specified all our events will be run from this spot. If there are any final changes we’ll update our website ([link removed]) and social media ([link removed]) , and the live blackboard outside our tent.

We’ll be gathering at the tent at 11am each morning, so drop in and say hello, meet other Global Justice Now supporters and activists, and see what’s on that day. There’ll be a limited supply of pastries (plus a vegan option), tea and coffee for those who get there early. First come, first served!

** Join us on the picket lines on Friday
------------------------------------------------------------

At the Department of Health and Social Care you can hear Global Justice Now campaigner Tim Bierley speak at around 11:30am (exact time tbc). Then head along to the Department for Business and Trade from 12-1pm to support our action: Exit the Energy Charter Treaty! Then, around 1pm, our director Nick Dearden will be speaking outside HM Treasury.

Other highlights of the programme include the Evening Rant at 5:30pm, presented by a different comedian each day, the Extractivism and Climate Injustice Walking Tour, which starts at 3pm on Friday, and a Q&A with Peruvian activist and feminist Lourdes Huanca at 3:15pm on Saturday. For the full line up, check out the programme now:
