Dear John,
Happy Earth Week! While we strive to act with the environment in mind every day, we’re grateful for the occasion to shout out our 350Brooklyn activists – thank you! – who are seeking to foster a better world, and make a brighter future possible. Here is our April round up of three quick actions you can take to help our communities and our planet flourish.
Have an activated week!

Actions for the week of April 17, 2023
Action 1
🌺 Tell Trader Joe’s: skip single use plastics
Sign a petition urging Trader Joe’s to move away from single use plastics! TJ’s can take meaningful steps right now to decrease single-use plastic packaging, including offering dry goods in bulk, allowing customers to bring their own reusable containers to fill, and switching all storebrand product packaging to cardboard, paper, glass, and aluminum.
Action 2
🤝 Rally behind local, communally developed climate projects supporting disadvantaged communities
Check this New York State Senate Bill to see if your State Senator has signed on to cosponsor the Climate and Community Protection Fund. If not, use this one-click tool to send a message and express your support.
Action 3
🌍 Stop by the 350Brooklyn Table on Earth Day
Saturday, April 22 • 1:00–5:00pm
Bergen Street, between Flatbush & 5th Avenues 📍Map
On Saturday, April 22, we’ll be at the Earth Day Block Party street fair between 1 – 5pm. Visit us at the North Flatbush BID celebration on Bergen between Flatbush and 5th Avenue. Enough with virtual conversations—let’s see each other face to face! And we’ll have 350BK tee-shirts for sale.
